The Best FPS Cop Game I ever Played June 14, 2010 Roger D. Buck I really like this game and of course the wife likes watching all the action in it. the one thing I dont care for though are all the game cut scenes. I prefer to be playing the game as to having to sit through thoes or closing them just to move on but overall I realy ejoy the Maxpayne games thouroughly
It run on Windows 7 June 2, 2010 Robert J. Apke (Cincinnati, Ohio United States) I loaded this game on Windows 7 to see if it would run. I was surprised with the results. It ran perfectly. I have seen reviews from other people having trouble do this. I am totally satisfied with the game and windows 7 compatibility.
Great game, but could have been better December 20, 2009 Ram Eachambadi (Denver, CO, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is just another sad story of how another title of the same series often turns out to be bad. The story, by all means, is the most pathetic one I have ever heard of. There are just way too many betrayals, reversals, and conspiracy theories that ruined the story. They changed Mona Sax's appearance and her voice for obvious reasons (to appeal to male players of the game). No complaints there. That is great. But, that alone does not make a game great.
Max Payne I was great. Max Payne II is still good, but not good enough for the price that is listed. The graphics have improved greatly, and the Max Payne I graphics by itself was awesome. I can admit that much. This game is also more funny than the previous one in that the bad guys say stupid things in the game that make you laugh. And the bad guys have conversations, instead of being deadbeats, as was the case with Max Payne I. But, that is about it. Nothing else makes it more special than Max Payne I. This game does not portray as much explicit violence as Max Payne I does. But, it is still not a game for kids. No doubt about it. And the game cannot be played on a 64-bit PC. So, make sure you have a 32 bit operating system, before buying this one.
Fun game, good price, and it works October 15, 2009 Caleb S. (Des Moines, IA; ORU, Tulsa, OK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne for PC. I have been playing it on Windows 7 Ultimate RC for about a month now. It actually looks better on Windows 7 than Windows XP. I played the game on this same computer, but only on Windows XP. The graphics, for some reason, appear to be better and sometimes smoother, which is strange since I did not upgrade my graphics card...although, I would like to. Since I am on a Laptop, that is not quite possible....with the tools I have anyway.
Max Payne 2 is running very well, although, I did have to use XP Mode in Windows 7 Ultimate. The story line is fun and exciting. I like running some of my favorite modes for this game so I can have even more fun with this game. I will be playing this game for a while....or until I upgrade my computer and am able to play such games as Call of Duty (all version) and other such fun games. For now, Max Payne 2 (and the first) is really all I need to have some fun down time after university classes and homework.
Great story, great gameplay April 3, 2009 K. Chang (GA) Max Payne: The Fall of Max Payne is an excellent game with an engrossing storyline and good game mechanics. It's not too difficult for someone with some first person shooter experience but the gorgeous sets and good dialogue keeps the game interesting. Some of the jumping puzzles are a little annoying but overall, it is a varied and well paced game.
The story is definitely dark with some pretty creepy sequences. I would not recommend it for anyone younger than 15, but it depends on the person.
