Great fun for the money! August 18, 2010 A. Pelletier (Coventry, RI) This game is all about sex, violence, and more violence! The graphics are excellent, the story shallow and juvenile, and the blood is very excessive. I can't really say anything that hasn't been said before now, just buy this game and we can hope more studios will make games for the Wii that are like this one!
JUST AWESOME! Got my attention... July 28, 2010 A. A. Grimes (Harlem- USA) I've been pretty skeptical of Wii and the short, uneventful games I've been running across since I purchased the system. No More Heroes 2 is AMAZING to say the least. I am a 26 year old, mother of 1 and I catch myself constantly ready to entertain my child while I jump and make noises like a big kid during battles. The short, arcade like mini games are not that easy but keeps you busy when your not on big battle. A MUST HAVE for your Wii collection!!!
1 OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!! 1 OF NINTENDO Wii'S ALL TIME BEST!! July 15, 2010 G (Alabama, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great game that deserves plenty of credit for its originality and HIGH replay value. I recommend this game to everyone. You WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED! It is one of the Nintendo Wii's ALL-TIME BEST GAMES...period! Enjoy!
If you liked the original the sequel won't disappoint July 4, 2010 Eugene Hemrick 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This review will be short but sweet. The original No More Heroes was a fun distraction but was marred by poorly executed Grand Theft Auto side quests. This one improves upon the predecessor in all areas except plot.
Basically you go through level after level of slicing bad guys with the Wii mote.
Pros:
- Fun, responsive gameplay
- Good controls
- Side quests are actually fun this time around
Cons:
- Repetetive
- Hard (at least for me) to play more than a few levels at once without arm getting worm out
- Plot is lacking
I bought this game for under 20 bucks so I'm not disappointed. For those who spent more, there are better options out there but this is fun escapist entertainment on the Wii.
Good sequel to one of the Wii's best titles. June 25, 2010 OoAK First off, I was and still am a huge fan of the original No More Heroes. It has fun over the top gameplay, funny dialogue, and trippy visuals. NMH2 expands upon that in every good way possible. My one and only complaint about this game is they ditched the free roaming in favor of a more stream-lined "click 'n go" interface for navigating the city. I sometimes enjoyed just hopping on my bike and burning rubber through the city, burning out and popping huge wheelies. But, I will say this new interface does make it alot simpler and quicker to navigate. Another plus is the throwback low bit side job mini-games. If you're a fan of old school games like myself, you'll definitely appreciate this addition as it adds a unique element to an already great package.
The story follows the same formula of fighting through the ranks to once again become the #1 assassin. The supporting characters are great, there's alot more insane ranking battles(my favorite being an epic giant robot fight above the city). The fighting system is still pretty much the same, but a nice addition is you can battle with dual katanas this time around. The visuals have been stepped up a bit, especially noticeable if you're using the component setup.
Overall, anybody who enjoyed the original will no doubt enjoy this one. Even if you never played the original, you can still get into this game. It even acknowledges the fact that some people will go into this game having no experience from the first game in the opening sequences. Nevermind people saying the Wii doesn't have hardcore titles, it's usually just people who are somehow intimidated by using motion controls in games. Bottom line, this is a great core game for the Wii that deserves praise.
